Kevin Werbel aka. K-Dub
Kevin has been playing drums since age 8. His parents insisted he learn piano for 2 years before moving to the drums but Kevin caught the Beatle bug and couldn't wait to move to drums.
His first drum teacher Normie Wayne (Brooklyn, NY) gave him the foundation he would later need to fit in and play all styles. He started playing in bands since age 11. By 15 he was working with most of the club date orchestras such as Steven Scott, The Nobleman, Herb Sherry, Dynasty Orchestras,Peter Duchen, etc.
Throughout the 80's Kevin played all the popular clubs in NYC including CBGB,Great Gildersleeves, Maxs Kansas City, Tramps, Magique, Bitter End,Kenny's Castaways, Zappas,Lamour, 2001 Odyessy, etc.
By the mid 90's Kevin took a break from the music scene to raise a family in New Jersey. However, the music never left. Kevin got the itch again in 2001 when he auditioned for Dean Friedman ("Ariel"). The first gig back was at The Stone Poney with Dean. Kevin always dreamed of playing there because of all the history with Springsteen,Southside, BonJovi, etc.
Kevin went on to do a few more gigs with Dean and later hooked up with Ray Andersen (Meat Loaf, Mr.Ray Show) where he played with his cover band,Three Sides Now and The Mr. Ray Show. After doing some other freelance work Kevin hooked up with The Living Proof Band in 2007.
